Membership is the "engine" of Desert Ice Figure Skating Club (DIFSC). Here are some things you should know about membership:
- Desert Ice Figure Skating Club is open to anyone interested in the sport and art of figure skating and dedicated to providing you, our skater, with the support that will enable you to develop your skating and realize your dreams.
- Membership in DIFSC entitles you to be registered with the USFS, receive USFS Skating Magazine, participate in USFS Testing, and DIFSC sponsored activities at member rates (sponsored activities include workshops, ice shows, clinics and lessons by guest instructors.)
- There are no minimum skating level qualifications. Registration for 2010 - 2011 season will begin July 1, 2010 and will run through June 30, 2011. New membership packets complete with a Calendar of Events will be available at the annual membership meeting and will also be available at the DIFSC web site. DIFSC Year will be concurrent with the USFS and run from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011.
- By joining you enter into a network of local skaters. We have numerous skating members, ranging from preschool through retired adults.
- We have all been new to this sport at one time. Feel free to contact any Board Member with any questions. Your coach(s) are a great resource of information.
- Each member (one vote per family) has a vote at the annual membership meeting. Elections are held at the annual meeting.
